I Love Inconsiderate Asshats! November 10, 2009

I live in an apartment complex. My apartment isn’t super amazingly nice or anything, but it is small and cozy. I really do like my place, for the most part. What I don’t really like about it, aside from the fact that I lack an unlimited budget to spend on rent and furnishings, are some of my neighbors. Last year I lived in a 4 bedroom house pretty much by myself, so I got used to not sharing walls and dealing with other people. I forgot how nice it is to go to bed and not have to hear your neighbors’ comings and goings, along with various other nighttime activities. But since I have moved, I have gotten the pleasure of sharing my walls, floor, and ceiling with strangers, I live on a middle floor. Words cannot appropriately describe the awesomeness of it, but I will try my best to make them do so.

Asshats that lives upstairs: I am a student again, and I am often up late studying or finishing up some assignment. Unless I am up past 1 A.M., I never hear the neighbors that live above me. But after one, these people seem to come alive. I think that they must wake up around 12:45, put on some iron or steel boots and stomp around their apartment. The apartment above me is a one bedroom like mine, you can tell by the windows and layout of the apartment buildings, and I thought maybe I had a weighty neighbor living up there. This is not the case. Two skinny Asian guys live up there! I really don’t see how such skinny guys could make so much noise simply walking around their apartment, hence my assumption of them wearing iron/steel boots. Not only do they wake up around the time I am going to bed, but they never seem to leave their apartment. They just stomp around and shower all night long. I can’t count the number of nights that I have been in bed looking up at the ceiling verbally cursing them, wishing that their feet would fall off so they couldn’t stomp anymore, or that they stomp so hard that one of them breaks through and falls into my apartment so I could smack the one that fell into my place! I am very conscious of walking loudly and I will not let my dog run around the apartment past 8 P.M. I have also met the guy that lives below me, and I asked him if we are too loud or bothersome. He said we were fine, and I told him that if we ever got too loud, just let us know. I mean, you live in an apartment, and your neighbors can hear what you are doing, so please, be considerate of others. If I can manage it, it can’t be that hard.

Asshat across the way: There is a grassy area in between my apartment and this person’s. We live in different buildings, but alas, this person is so inconsiderate that his/her actions still can be heard from my place. This asshat lives on the top floor, and owns a cat. How do I know that this douche bag owns a cat? Well, the cat is always locked out of the apartment and confined to the deck/outdoor area of the apartment. While I already have issues with getting a pet, putting it outside and ignoring it, I definitely have issues with this inconsiderate douche. I mean, I have screened in my deck area, and I do leave my door open on pretty days because my dog loves going out there. But, I do not lock him outside, and the few times he has barked at someone or something outside, I have gone outside, picked him up, and carried him inside to calm him down. He has prob barked three times while being out there, but if it were a regular occurrence, I wouldn’t let him out anymore. Well this jerk locks the cat outside and it meows and cries all the time! I have been woken up by the cat a couple of times and I have been listening to a lecture on my computer in my apartment and the cat was being so loud that I had to put on headphones to block out the cat’s noise. Let it be known that I pretty much hate cats. I personally am a dog person, and really don’t understand why people like cats, I hate them. So I admit that I have very little patience for this cat. But I mean, if you don’t want to keep your cat in your apartment, and if it starts crying and meowing so loudly that you yell at it from inside to shut up while it is still locked outside, but you don’t bring it inside, there has to be something wrong. I have decided that this person is both extremely dumb and inconsiderate. If your cat is bugging you that much, and to the point that you don’t want it in your living space, why would others, that have no attachment to your fucking cat would want to hear it day in and day out crying and meowing?!! I would love nothing more than to walk up to that apartment, knock on the door, yell at the owner, and then remove the devil, crying cat from the premises. ASSHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
